About April – Artist, Instructor & Creative Coach
Hi, I'm April! I took my first BOB ROSS® Certified Instructor Course in 2002, and that experience launched me into a lifelong journey with art. My work is inspired by my travels, the natural beauty of the North Georgia mountains, and the decade I spent living by the water in Destin, Florida. My passion for painting began in 2001 after my family and I moved from the city to a quiet mountain cabin. At first, I felt isolated and alone. I didn’t know anyone, and it led to a season of deep loneliness. To cope, I started painting on the back porch—just me, nature, and a brush. That creative spark became my lifeline and led me to study the BOB ROSS® method. Since then, I’ve expanded my skills to include a wide range of mediums and styles: acrylics, portraits, furniture painting, mixed media, and classical oil techniques inspired by the Old Masters. In 2023, I returned to the North Georgia area and committed to making art my full-time career. |

Let’s create something beautiful together! With over 22 years of experience, I also offer custom-painted furniture and creative workshops in different mediums. I always tell my students: The BOB ROSS® method is a great place to start until you discover your own unique style. I truly believe that anyone with an open heart and a teachable spirit can learn to paint. |
